For the past eight years Black Bear Crossings Café and Banquet Center has hosted an “Annual Taste Test” for brides, grooms. This event allows couples and other clients who have booked a 2013 spring, summer or fall wedding or event at Black Bear Crossings Café and Banquet Center on Historic Lake Como to sample all of the delicious gourmet cuisines options available for their reception gala. This event included a variety of themed elegant table settings provided by ‘Midway Party Rental’ for the guests to purview, in putting together colors and or “unique look” for their special event. Also represented were an assortment of musicians featuring ‘Terzetto’ a Classical Trio, ‘Pavel’ a Solo Latin Jazz Guitarist and ‘Theo Brown” a Acoustic Jazz keyboardist. Additionally Black Bears favorite florist ‘Flowerama ‘ of Roseville and favorite DJ ‘Midwest Sound’ presented along with a host of other favorite vendors Marriott of Roseville, Johnson Bros. Liquors, Capital Beverage, Buttercream Cake, Chloe Photography, and ‘Liz J. Design Company’, recommended by Black Bear Crossings Café and Banquet Center.
Many of the brides and grooms used a scoreboard to note their favorite salads, pastries, fish, meat and vegetables. The baked items presented by Pam at Black Bear Crossings Café and Banquet Center were works of art and culinary masterpieces. The crowd was “wowed” by the presentation of the cherries jubilee and the banana foster. The cakes, cupcakes, and Pam’s award winning pies were crowd favorites.
The Mezzanine level was appropriately set as a pre function gala; featuring a variety of scrumptious and delicious hors d’oeuvres to taste. Black Bears Banquet Room was elegantly appointed, each dish was meticulously presented and all the attendees had a great time. Black Bear Crossings Café and Banquet Center presented this event at at no cost to the attendees. The staff truly aspires for every wedding to be perfect. No detail is left to chance. Those who attended now have the knowledge necessary to create the perfect menu, look and feel for their “very special” event.
